Meet Dr. Sebolt

Michael Sebolt was born on February 12 in Louisville, Kentucky. He played football and ran track at Blacksburg High School and graduated in 1977.

Mike then attended Virginia Tech where he ran cross country, indoor and outdoor track. He graduated in 1981 with a BS in Health and Physical Education.

He was hired by the Roanoke County School District in the fall of 1981 to teach health and physical education. He coached cross-country and track at William Byrd High School for 15 years and was twice named as the Timesland Cross-Country Coach of the Year. He also guided teams to state championships in 1987 for boys cross-country and 1988 in boys track.

In December 1998, Mike graduated from Virginia Tech with a MA in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Instructional Technology. In September 2001, he returned to school to pursue an EdD in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. He graduated in the Spring of 2004.

His current position is that of Technology Resource Teacher at Salem High School. His duties include assisting teachers with technology integration as well as hardware and software installation, repair and support.
