Clinical Counseling Support at Salem City Schools

At Salem City Schools, we are committed to providing the best possible support and resources to our students to ensure their well-being and success. In line with this commitment, we are pleased to announce the introduction of additional school counseling positions at both our elementary and secondary levels.

These dedicated clinical counselors have been appointed to work directly with our students, addressing a wide range of needs through one-on-one and small group settings. Some of the areas they will focus on include but are not limited to: anxiety, anger management, grief and loss, friendship skills, test anxiety, self-esteem building, and conflict resolution.

Our clinical counselors will work with students for up to six sessions, providing valuable support during this period. It is important to note that the counseling services offered are short-term in nature and are not intended to replace medication management, clinical counseling, or diagnostic services.

Additionally, our clinical counselors are well-connected within the community and will make referrals to external resources as needed. This ensures that students receive comprehensive care and support beyond the school environment when necessary.

We believe that these additional clinical counseling positions will further enhance the well-being and academic success of our students, and we are excited to bring this valuable resource to our school community.

If you have any questions or would like more information about our clinical counseling services, please feel free to reach out to the appropriate school administration or counseling department.

Thank you for your continued support in our mission to provide the best possible education and support for the students of Salem City Schools.
