Salem City Schools Summer Manufacturing Programs

Program Details:

Partners: SparkForce, Alro Steel, Altec, GE Verona, Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board, JR Motorsports, and New Millennium

Current 6th and 7th graders enrolled in the summer program will experience either one week of manufacturing STEM camp or one-week automotive manfacturing camp.

Current 7th and 8th graders may sign up for a one-week manufacturing STEM camp and or/a one-week automotive manfacturing camp

Inclusive Camp

Program Details:

Partners: SparkForce, Alro Steel, Altec, Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board, Integer, Mersen, New Millennium, Sinto, and Wabtec. SparkForce works with partner organizations, schools, social service agencies, manufacturers, and other employers to develop job readiness and skills training programs that serve young adults with special needs or disabilities.

Structure:

One week of classroom training.

Three weeks of on-site job training.
